Bruce Neswick Improvisation Tracks

Three Bruce Neswick
Organ Improvisation Tracks are available free at ProOrgano.com.

Bruce Neswick’s organ solo CD entitled “The Opening of Heaven” was recorded in October, 2010, and it was released in July, 2011, just days prior to Mr. Neswick's last day as Director of Music and Organist at New York’s Cathedral of St. John the Divine. The original 76-minute “The Opening of Heaven” CD contained 10 tracks, and the CD is still available at ProOrgano.com.

In addition, back in 2010, an expanded 95-minute version of the same program was developed by Pro Organo as a Blu-ray Audio Disc release. In 2010, so little interest was shown in the Blu-ray audio format that Pro Organo scrapped all plans to proceed with new products in that format. The result was that the final 3 tracks in the expanded program of this album—all 3 of them of organ improvisations by Bruce Neswick on the Cathedral’s Great Organ—were never released.

Pro Organo has announced the posting of these 3 Bruce Neswick organ improvisation tracks as free MP3 download products. The tracks are:

Free Improvisation (Bruce Neswick)
Meditative Improvisation on St. Albinus (Bruce Neswick)
Festive Improvisation on St. Albinus (Bruce Neswick)

In addition to these newly-released improvisation tracks, 4 of the 10 tracks from the original CD album program are also now available as MP3 downloads on the product page at ProOrgano.com. All audio tracks from the album now have audio samples available on the album product page.
