Pentecost Organ Concert

The organists of the Church of the Transfiguration at Rock Harbor, Orleans, present a Pentecost Concert on church's landmark E.M. Skinner organ, which the Organ Historical Society calls "a masterpiece of balance of harmonics, voicing, scale and color that is overwhelmingly breathtaking." This vibrant concert will span three centuries, with works by Bach, Messiaen, and contemporary composer Dan Locklair.
The vibrant orchestral colors of the 7,500 pipes of the E.M. Skinner organ at the Church of the Transfiguration, Rock Harbor, Orleans, MA will be displayed in concert on Sunday, June 1 at 3:30 pm. Enjoy stunning works by Widor, Langlais and Jongen at a Pentecost organ concert performed by SharonRose Pfeiffer and James Jordan. Tickets: $25 ($20 for seniors); free for students and 18 and under.

The concert includes works by Bach, Brahms, Messiaen, and Locklair, and is an opportunity to be refreshed by beauty and sound.
