K. Scott Warren plays Widor

K. Scott Warren will perform excerpts from five of Widor’s Symphonies March 26 at 3 p.m. at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, New York City (980 Park Avenue). The church houses New York’s largest tracker-action pipe organ, built by N.P. Mander: four manuals, 91 ranks.

K. Scott Warren has served as Director of Music Ministries at St. Ignatius Loyola since 2011. He is the principal conductor of the church’s 19-voice professional choir. The choir, along with the Orchestra of St. Ignatius Loyola, form the backbone of the parish’s concert series, Sacred Music in a Sacred Space.

Mr. Warren is a native of Dallas, Texas, and a graduate of the University of North Texas, where he studied organ with Dr. Jesse E. Eschbach. His choral music is published by Oxford University Press, and has been performed throughout Asia, Europe and North America.
