The Bach Aria Soloists of Kansas City will present a program on February 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Village Presbyterian Church, Prairie Village, Kansas. The concert will feature the Richards, Fowkes & Co. Opus 22 organ, three manuals and 59 stops, which was dedicated in August 2017. Elisa Williams Bickers, the principal organist at Village Presbyterian Church, will play the organ.
The program will include instrumental works by J.S. Bach, Vaughan Williams, and Handel-Halvorsen; vocal arias by Handel and J.S. Bach. Guest cellist Hannah Collins, assistant professor of cello at the University of Kansas, will perform the Mystery Variations for Anssi Karttunen.
Bach Aria Soloists is led by Artistic Director-Founder-violinist Elizabeth Suh Lane. The ensemble also includes Sarah Tannehill Anderson, soprano; Elisa Williams Bickers, harpsichord, organ and piano; and Beau Bledsoe, guitar.
