The Diapason received a record number of worthy entries for its third Gruenstein Award, a process that ended January 31. The award recognizes excellence in scholarship and writing by a young person who has not reached their 35th birthday. This year’s winning essay is by JJ Mitchell, a member of The Diapason’s 20 Under 30 Class of 2021. The first installment of his essay will be featured in the May 2024 issue of The Diapason.
