Raven announces a new CD: Michel Boulnois (1907–2008): Organ Music (OAR-175) features Jeremy Filsell performing on the 2018 Dobson Pipe Organ Builders Opus 93 of four manuals, 126 ranks in St. Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, New York City, the first solo recording of this instrument. (See “The new Dobson organ at Saint Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, New York,” by Scott Cantrell, in the March 2019 issue, pages 16–19.)

Boulnois was a Parisian organist and contemporary of Jehan Alain and Jean-Jacques Grunenwald, all members of Marcel Dupré’s 1937 organ class at the Conservatoire.

Jeremy Filsell is organist and director of music at St. Thomas Church. He is on the international roster of Steinway Piano Artists and has recorded for BBC Radio 3, USA, and Scandinavian radio networks in solo and concerto roles. His discography comprises more than 35 solo recordings.
