East Texas Pipe Organ Festival online

The East Texas Pipe Organ Festival will offer an online presentation of the 2021 Festival in Exile.

The 2021 Festival took place in New Orleans and Laurel, Mississippi, last November. The events were recorded and will be available online for the first time the week of May 8–14, 2022, as the "East Texas Pipe Organ Festival in Exile," with Michael Barone acting as master of ceremonies.

Kathleen Scheide plays Töpfer Concert Variations

Kathleen Scheide plays Concert Variations on Vive Henri Quatre, by Johann Gotlob Töpfer (1791–1870). The performance took place March 30, 2021, at St. David's Episcopal Church, Radnor, Pennsylvania (Dobson organ, Opus 84).

Kathleen Scheide has concertized as an organ and harpsichord soloist throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Russia, the Far East and Caribbean. She has received touring artist grants from the Arkansas Arts Council, California Arts Council, the American Embassies in Prague and Vienna, and the Czech Embassy in St. Petersburg.

She is organist/music director at Church of the Loving Shepherd, West Chester, Pennsylvania, and teaches piano at Rowan College at Burlington County; piano, organ and harpsichord at Settlement Music School; and harpsichord at Westminster Choir College.

Dr. Scheide is a published composer with a significant discography. Her compositions have been made available through Darcey Press, E.C. Schirmer, Piano Press, Time Warner, Wayne Leupold and World Library. Her recordings are available on Dutch HLM, Organ Historical Society, Palatine and Raven labels.
