The "Augustinus Franz Kropfreiter" Organ Competition takes place August 1–4 at the Bruckner organ of the St. Florian Monastery Basilica, St. Florian, Austria. All organists born after August 1, 1986 are invited to the competition.

The "Bruckner Organ" at the monastery comprises 103 registers, and is linked with the work of Augustinus Franz Kropfreiter (1936–2003), who lived and worked there for almost 50 years. Kropfreiter's organ works are part of the competition program. Works by Bach and from the Romantic period are also on the program, with options always given.

The first round is carried out via video submissions. The participants of the second round and the final are given the opportunity to create demo CDs.

The competition rounds on August 3 and 4 will be open to the public, the award ceremony and the winners' concert will be on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 8 p.m.

In addition to the prizes (€ 4,000 / 3,000 / 2,000), the finalists will receive concert invitations.
