Ashley O’Brien appointed executive director, Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ

Ashley O’Brien

Ashley O’Brien is appointed executive director of the Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ, Merrill Auditorium, Portland, Maine. With experience in strategic planning, brand development, and operational optimization with over 15 years of work at multinational corporations like Morgan Stanley, Ann Inc., and Pernod Ricard, O’Brien brings over a decade of nonprofit board leadership experience with organizations such as New York Choral Society, HeathCorps, and Wellesley College Alumnae Leadership Council. 

She is an amateur classically trained vocalist and French horn player, performing at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, Heinz Auditorium, and Boston Symphony Hall with soloists such as Reneé Fleming, Ailyn Perez, Andrea Bocelli, Kelly O’Hara, and Bryn Terfel. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College, Wellesley, Massachusetts, where she majored in economics and minored in women’s studies, and she resides in Kennebunk, Maine.
