Ahreum Han at Shadyside

Shadyside Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, presents Ahreum Han on Sunday, April 27, at 4:00 p.m., as part of its Music in a Great Space series, co-sponsored by the Organ Artists Series.

Ahreum Han was a featured soloist at the 2012 national convention of the American Guild of Organists held in Nashville, Tennessee. She has received top prizes from numerous competitions, and her live performances have been featured on the American Public Media radio show Pipedreams.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Ms. Han earned degrees from Westminster Choir College and the Yale School of Music and Yale Institute of Sacred Music, as well as a diploma from the Curtis Institute of Music.

Ms. Han is presently Principal Organist, Assistant Director of Music, and Artist-in-Residence at First Presbyterian Church in Davenport, Iowa. She was on organ faculty as Lecturer at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. She has served as principal organist at First Presbyterian Church in West Chester, Pennsylvania; organist at Marquand Chapel of Yale Divinity School; organist the Berkeley Divinity School of Yale University; and organist at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Stamford, Connecticut. She was recently married to Todd Congdon and they reside in Davenport, Iowa.
