A festival of timeless hymns, scriptures, and poetry with a feast of choral music by Charles Wood, Camille Saint-Saëns, Frank Boles, Robert Grogan and Robert Hobby. Organ music illustrating verses of Mary’s Magnificat composed by Matthias Weckmann will open the service with a variety of colorful sounds.
Mina Choi, organist, plays this month’s Third Fridays at Noon recital on the renowned John Brombaugh organ. Ms. Choi is a doctoral candidate in organ and harpsichord at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has received numerous awards, including First Prize Winner of Max Reger Orgel Concours Organ Competition in Netherlands, and Third Prize Winner of Franz Schmidt International Organ Competition in Austria.
