Every Thursday from July 11 through August 29, 12 noon. A new series of free, half-hour concerts on the E.M. Skinner pipe organ at the Church of the Transfiguration at the Community of Jesus, Rock Harbor, Orleans. Order a brown bag lunch for $8, or bring your own, and enjoy a respite from the hectic workday (or crowded beaches). Built by Nelson Barden & Associates of Boston, MA, the organ at the Church of the Transfiguration is a museum-quality restoration and expansion of components from 17 organs of the E.M. Skinner Organ Company. The vibrant orchestral colors of the 7,500 pipes of the E.M. Skinner organ at the Church of the Transfiguration, Rock Harbor, Orleans, MA will be displayed in concert on Sunday, June 1 at 3:30 pm. Pentecost Organ Concert

The organists of the Church of the Transfiguration at Rock Harbor, Orleans, present a Pentecost Concert on church's landmark E.M. Skinner organ, which the Organ Historical Society calls "a masterpiece of balance of harmonics, voicing, scale and color that is overwhelmingly breathtaking." This vibrant concert will span three centuries, with works by Bach, Messiaen, and contemporary composer Dan Locklair.
